Make your own energy drink

The recipe

Add a generous squeeze of liquid honey to an almost full squash bottle of water. Add a pinch of salt and shake violently. The drink should taste not too sweet and not too salty.

The Science

Isotonic drinks are 96% water, 3.9% carbohydrates (i.e. sugar) and 0.1% salt.

Isotonic - a balance with your body fluids

Hypotonic - less concentrated in terms of sugar

Hypertonic - more concentrated in term of sugar
