In the Oxfordshire League the club has achieved a first in that its three 3-pair teams will all be playing in the first division next year. This is a terrific achievement for a small village club.
The Mixed team run by Sue T has retained its place in the top division for the third year running. Jax M’s Ladies’ team will be returning there after one season having run away with the Division 2 title with 8 wins from 8 matches.
The high flying trio is completed by Mark T’s Men’s team who have achieved Division 1 status for the very first time, having finished runners up in Division 2. This following promotion from Division 3 last year.
Further success has also been achieved by the 2-pair teams.
Caroline B’s Ladies’ A team will also compete in Division 1 having completed a double of winning Divisions 3 and 2 in successive summers.
The B team (newly entered in the league in 2005 and captained by Sarah D) also won their division and will challenge in Division 5 next year.
The Mixed team led by Anna H completed a trio of success for the 2-pair outfits by winning the Division 3 title.
Both 2-pair men’s teams, Terry W’s A team and the new B team captained by Ian B, finished in fourth place in their divisions.
