Quiz Night Saturday, 11 November 2006 in the Morrell Rooms, Streatley

- No News! Joe, Charlie and Doris M, Tony H and Phil
- The Latecomers: Sarah and Peter, Sonya and Ivor, Nikki and Ollie
The success of the Quiz Nights must have circulated far and wide, as many non tennis club members also attended. Thank you all for your support.
The Purple Patch were into a Purple Streak taking an early lead with their joker and maintaining this lead under heavy pressure to win for the second year running. Don’t ya just hate them! Just joking and well done.
The bottom of the heap was also keenly fought, with No News! taking the wooden spoon by a mere one point. They were however awarded the honour and prize for supplying the most amusing answer.
On being told their answer, “South Kensington”, did not contain the vowel “A”, they retorted that it was “Sarf Kensington”. Unfortunately this did not get them any points either!
You may also be surprised to find that Brazil does NOT produce the most Brazil Nuts! Trick question???
Jon H had actually climbed Mount Cotopaxi, but could not quite remember which country he was in at the time. Must have been the altitude!
To round it off, there was even a Limerick contest.
Final Scores as displayed by the computer in order of merit:
