Summary of the Club Survey, March 2004
A survey of of the club activities was carried out in March 2004.
This page presents a summary of a recent review of that survey.
The survey covered 12 specific issues and requested an assessment of both the importance and level of satisfaction on a scale of 1 to 10
All these figures were fed into a computer and calculations were performed to give an overall scoring based on the importance and satisfaction for each member who submitted a response. The outcome is shown in the graph below (click on the image for a larger view).
Some 75 members responded and their scores are shown in ascending order (left to right). The maximum possible score was 600 (plus) and the worst possible was -480 (minus).
The blue horizontal line (at 120) indicates a score corresponding to “Reasonably Satisfied”. The majority of members scored well above this line and some close to the maximum, with only a few below the blue line. This is interpreted as indicating a high level of satisfaction within the club.
The even (linear) distribution also shows a healthy trend. A cluster of low and high scores would be indicative of a polarisation within the club. No such trends were perceived.
The trends for the individual activities were also addressed and the outcome is shown in the graph below (click on the image for a larger view).
The figures for each activity were combined together to give overall ratings for:
- Importance (Yellow)
- Satisfaction (Blue)
- Overall Score (Purple) based importance and satisfaction
The scale on the left is of no particular significance, other than to give relative ratings. The notable trend is that those activities deemed to be important were also those activities that gained high satisfaction.
This is interpreted as indicating that we have by and large got the priorities correct.
Further Detailed Reviews of each activity are provided with a then and now assessment.
